For problem fruit flies: This worked really well for me. Take a couple of glasses or cups. Fill them with about an inch of apple ciger vinegar. Then take any piece of paper, make a funnel, and put it in the glass so it touches the sides, and hangs just above the apple cider vinegar. Put them in various places around the kitchen or wherever you have the problem. The fruit flies are drawn to it, fly in and can't get out. The ones that don't fall into the vinegar are trapped between the small part of the funnel and the glass. You can just take the glass and empy it outside. I had LOTS of fruit flies a few years ago due to some bad bananas and within about a week and a half, they were all gone. I even put a cup on the pantry shelf. FYI,, when you empty the fruit flies, you don't need new apple cider vinegar. - Susan

Put your greens in the food processor along with some avocado. Pulse
until the greens are chopped very finely. Makes a great base for piling
on other veggies and you don't need much dressing since the lettuce is
creamy. Plus, you can eat large amounts of greens and it doesn't feel
like you're chewing your cud. You can also put your salad in the blender with a some lemon juice,
salad dressing and/or water. This produces more of a soup (like
gazpacho). My elderly parents rarely eat salad because it's too hard to
chew but since I've given them this tip they're eating these blended
salads every day. My dad says he really notices a difference.
