Almond Milk

1 c. almond, which have been soaked overnight
2 qt. water, distilled or purified
1 tsp. vanilla or a combination of vanilla and almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. sea salt
2 Tbl maple syrup

Put almonds and 1 qt water into a blender and blend at hight speed until very smooth and creamy.

Pour into a nut milk bag to straing.

Add remaining quart of water, flavorings, salt and maple syrup and stir well.

Chill and serve.

This will separate when in the refrigerator, so stir before using.

This is a delicious nutmilk, easy to make, nutritious, and satisfying.

For variation in flavor and nutrition, use cashews, pecans, brazil nuts, or hazel nuts, combining some sesame or sunflower seeds if desired.

* Comments Michelle notes that Maple Syrup is not raw, so you could use Dark Agave Nectar instead.
