Appliances you'll need (exact brand not important):

Juicer

Blender or Vita-Mix

Ingredients:

3 apples of your choice
4-6 frozen strawberries
1 1/2 frozen bananas
10-12 ice cubes
1/2 c. water

Directions:

1.) Cut up apples into small enough pieces to fit into juicer shute.
(I discard the center core, but some people juice it as well.)

2.) Setup juicer. Use one small container for the juice that comes through the straining screen. Use one small container for the pulp that comes out the end of the juicer. Add apples to shute.

3.) Use plunger to feed the apples through until you have used up all the apple pieces and have fresh-squeezed apple juice.

4.) Add apple juice to blender.

5.) Add frozen strawberries to blender.

6.) Add frozen bananas to blender.

7.) So now you have the juice, the strawberries and the bananas in the blender.

8.) Blend on high until well blended.

9.) Add water. (I add water to lessen the concentration of apple juice.
You don't have to do this if you like it as is.)

10.) Add ice. (I add ice to make it more thick and more slushy.)

11.) Here's how your finished fruit smoothie will look.

12.) This will make enough for 2 people to each have a glass.

13.) Enjoy!!!

Variations:

Use orange or grape juice as the base instead of apple juice.
Add almond milk for an even creamier smoothie.
Try frozen peaches, mangos, or other fruits for a variety of flavors.
